DIVERSITY POLICY
Diversity is a hallmark of ACPI. Few companies benefit from diversity more than we do. We are committed to leadership in fulfilling our corporate responsibility to support diversity within our business and community.
ACPI defines diversity management as the strategies and actions that effectively recognize, accept and utilize the skills of all employees, business associates, and suppliers. We are committed to creating and maintaining an environment in which each employee can contribute creative ideas, seek challenges, assume leadership and continue to focus on meeting and exceeding business and personal objectives.
ACPI prohibits discrimination based upon an individual's race, religion, color, age, sex, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, citizenship status or veteran status. In addition, ACPI condemns discriminatory, or other offensive conduct based on legally protected status by third parties dealing with the Company, such as vendors, suppliers, consultants, or other independent contractors. ACPI will address such conduct of which it becomes aware in a timely and appropriate manner.
Retaliation against an individual for reporting discrimination or assisting in providing information relevant to a claim of discrimination is a serious violation of this policy and will be treated with the same discipline- as would the discrimination itself. Employees and applicants will not be subjected to harassment or intimidation, threats, coercion or discrimination if they file a complaint of discrimination, assist or participate in an investigation of a complaint of discrimination; or oppose any act or practice made unlawful by federal, state or local equal employment opportunity laws.
This policy pertains to every aspect of an individual's relationship with the company, including recruitment, selection, compensation, benefits, training and development, promotion, transfer, discipline, termination and all other privileges, terms and conditions of employment.
Any applicant or employee who feels that he or she has been discriminated against in violation of the law or this policy should contact his or her department manager or the respective Human Resources Department representative immediately. Complaints will be investigated and resolved in a thorough, private and timely manner and will be kept confidential to the extent confidentiality is consistent with the best interests of the employee, the Company and the Company's obligations under the law.
Over the years we have learned the importance of appreciating the uniqueness of each individual and of supporting diversity within the communities in which our employees reside and we do business. We have also learned that a culturally sensitive, diverse workforce is better able to serve our customers' needs and can produce better business results.
I believe that diversity is imperative to our continued business success and I look forward to the support of all ACPI employees as we move forward with our diversity program.
